KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Detectives with the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department are investigating the city's latest homicide Saturday morning after a man was found dead near a vehicle in the 7400 block of South Palmer Avenue.
Police responded along with EMS for unresponsive party possibly in need of medical attention shortly after 6 a.m. and found a man near a vehicle who'd been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene, which is one block west of Manchester Avenue.
Police later identified the victim as 35-year-old Rasheed Gant of Kansas City.
