KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 31-year-old Overland Park man died in a single-car crash Tuesday afternoon in Overland Park.
According to Overland Park police, the crash happened just after 3 p.m. near West 112th Street and Lowell Avenue.
Mark J. Bissler's car slammed into a tree.
The first officers on the scene said Bissler was pinned in the vehicle and unresponsive.
Medical personnel and firefighters arrived a short time later and were able to get the driver out, but their efforts to save his life were unsuccessful.
Overland Park police said Lowell Avenue was closed in both directions for a couple of hours from West 112th Street to West 114th Street.
