Man robs Overland Park bank after giving teller demand note, FBI says

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Authorities are looking for a man who allegedly robbed an Overland Park bank on Wednesday morning.

Around 10:50 a.m., the man went into the First Federal Bank of Kansas City at 8629 Metcalf Ave., and gave the teller a demand note, FBI spokeswoman Bridget Patton said. The suspect put the money in a clear plastic accordion folder.

No weapon was displayed, Patton said.

The suspect allegedly fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

The suspect is approximately 40 years old and was wearing a red shirt, long shorts and dark shoes with white soles.
