Man seriously injured after shooting in Raytown, police say

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man suffered life-threatening injuries after a shooting in Raytown early Friday morning, police said.

Around 4:45 a.m., Raytown police responded to the 5600 block of Crescent Avenue. They found one man inside a residence with apparent gunshot wounds.

He was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

“The unknown suspects, who were believed to be on foot, left the area in an unknown direction,” police said in a news release.
