KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 52-year-old man was shot Friday morning in Blue Springs after a reported theft at his residence, police said.
Around 6:35 a.m., police responded to the home near 19th Street and Southwest Stonecreek Drive.
According to police, the incident began “as a stealing from a shed at the victim’s residence.”
The man’s injuries were not life-threatening, police said.
Authorities are looking for a white SUV with a noticeably loud exhaust in connection with the incident.
