A man was shot and killed on Longview and Blue Ridge Sunday afternoon.
About 12:45 police were called in reference to a shooting in the area.
On arrival officers discovered a black male in his mid 30's on the sidewalk. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A witness reported a black male wearing all black fled on foot after the shooting.
