UPDATE: Police identified the victim as Jacobsen L. Laumoli, 27.
Independence police found a man shot and killed outside a home in the 20100 block of east 12th Street Terrace early Sunday morning.
Police responded to a shots fired call just before 2:00 a.m.
When they arrived they located a man dead, outside the residence who had been shot.
Detectives are investigating it as a homicide.
No other information has been released.
