Kansas City police say they entered the home at 10:15 p.m. and did not find the suspects. They said the department will continue to investigate.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City police are in a standoff with two people suspected of shooting a man trying to deliver a pizza during an attempted robbery.
Officers responded to the scene at about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday on the 3600 block of Brooklyn Avenue.
The victim told police he was delivering pizza when two people attempted to rob him then shot him in the leg. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Witnesses told police the suspects went inside a residence in the area. As of 8 p.m. Wednesday, negotiators were attempting to make contact with the suspects.
