KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Police are investigating a life-threatening shooting that occurred shortly before 7:30 a.m. Friday in the 3300 block of Delvan Ave. in Kansas City, Kansas.
KCK police officers discovered a victim who been shot several times upon arrival. He was transported to an area hospital for emergency surgery.
The incident remains under investigation, but KCKPD said a person of interest has been taken into custody.
At least two other people were present at the residence during the shooting and when police arrived.
