UPDATE, 4/9, 9:25 A.M. |WaterOne said Tuesday morning that road repairs on Nall Avenue will last until Thursday night. The water company asked drivers to plan accordingly.

PREVIOUS | A water main break Monday afternoon near 95th Street and Nall Avenue in Overland Park, Kansas, sent water dozens of feet into the air and damaged the road.

Video from SKYTRACKER showed a water department worker attempting to shut off the flow of water, but not before the break had buckled a section of the road and sent water into the air.

A WaterOne spokesperson said the line was either an 8-inch or 12-inch line affecting roughly 20 customers.

The water main will be replaced, and repairs will take most of the night.

WaterOne stated Nall Avenue between 95th and 97th streets will be closed for a few days for road repairs.

Drivers are encouraged to find an alternate route.
