UPDATE Jan. 8: Merriam police said the girls were safely reunited with their families early Wednesday morning.
PREVIOUS: Merriam police are asking for the public's help to find two missing teen girls.
Aleigha Sands, 16, ran away around 8:30 p.m., according to a police, and 14-year-old Gina Beutel ran away around the same time.
Police believe the two ran away together.
There is no evidence of foul play, police said.
