KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Summer sure escalated quickly.
The National Weather Service Thursday issued a Heat Advisory for the entire metro area between 1 and 9 p.m. on Friday.
The advisory calls for temperatures in the afternoon to climb into the low-to-mid 90s, with heat index values ranging from 100 to 105.
41 Action News Meteorologist Gerard Jebaily says the hot weather will last through the weekend.
