KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A bald eagle is recovering after two Missouri Department of Conservation agents saved it, the department said Friday.

The agents, Haeley Eichler and Sean Ernst, were called to an area north of Paris, Missouri, in Monroe County on reports of an injured bald eagle.

Eichler and Ernest were able to capture the eagle and get it to people who could help it.

MDC said the University of Missouri's Raptor Rehibilitation Project took the eagle in for treatment and observation.
