KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A Missouri Highway Patrol trooper escaped serious injury early Thursday morning after a distracted driver struck their patrol car.
The Highway Patrol said the trooper was investigating a crash on U.S. 50 Highway in Jackson County, Missouri, when a distracted driver struck the patrol car.
Late Thursday afternoon, the highway patrol released dash cam video of the crash.

Charges are pending against the driver.
