KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper is safe after dodging a speeding tractor trailer while responding to a crash Wednesday in Callaway County, Missouri.
State Trooper Eric Penrod was working a crash yesterday on I-70 in Callaway County. While standing to the left of his patrol vehicle(not in camera view), he was nearly struck by a speeding tractor trailer that lost control. According to the agency, State Trooper Eric Penrod was working a crash on Interstate 70 in Callaway County when a driver lost control.
In the video released by MSHP Troop F, Penrod can be seen moving out of the way as the tractor trailer drives into a median strip.
"State Trooper Eric Penrod was working a crash yesterday on I-70 in Callaway County. While standing to the left of his patrol vehicle (not in camera view), he was nearly struck by a speeding tractor trailer that lost control," the agency said in a tweet. "Luckily, Trooper Penrod was able to leap out of the way."
