KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A car crash just after noon Monday injured a Missouri state representative from Lee's Summit.

A Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report states Rebecca Roeber (R - 34th District), was traveling east on U.S. 50 Highway in Syracuse, Missouri, when her 2002 Subuaru Legacy crossed the center line.

Roeber's car collided with a westbound 2008 Audi A8L driven by 58-year-old Richard Clark of Kansas City, Missouri.

She suffered serious injuries and was taken to University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Clark had minor injuries, according to the highway patrol report.

Syracuse is about 20 miles east of Sedalia, Missouri.

The patrol report does not say what caused Roeber's car to cross the center line.

Roeber was first elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 2014.
