KANSAS CITY, Mo. — If your commute takes you by Worlds of Fun, be prepared for a major backup Wednesday on southbound Interstate 435.
The Missouri Department of Transportation announced Monday that it will close the left two lanes of southbound I-435 from U.S. 69 south to Northeast 48th Street from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday for bridge deck joint repair.
The work is weather dependent, but it is expected to have a major impact on traffic. Motorists should plan extra time or find an alternative route.
