KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Missouri Department of Transportation vehicle was stolen early Friday morning in Kansas City, Missouri, police said.
Around 4:10 a.m., police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 3800 block of North Skiles Avenue.
The person reporting the theft said he works for MoDOT and had parked the 2015 white Ford F-250 in a parking lot with the keys in the ignition, the vehicle running and the doors unlocked.
The MoDOT worker said he went inside "for a short period of time" and when he came back, the truck was missing, according to police.
The truck has "MODOT" printed on the side doors with the number 9114, according to police.
