KANSAS CITY, Mo. — More than 300 local children and police officers will participate in the largest Shop with a Cop event in the region Wednesday.
The event makes it possible for kids in need to have gifts under the tree on Christmas.
The Kansas City Fraternal Order of Police teamed up with the Kansas City Kansas Fraternal Order of Police and partnered with local churches, schools and neighborhood associations to find children with the greatest need to participate.
Funding comes from donors and their main sponsor, The McDonald's Great Plains Co-Op.
The event starts at 4 p.m. at the Ward Parkway Target.
