KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The mother of a 24-year-old Kansas City woman last seen nearly two weeks ago is asking for the public's help in finding her daughter.

Kenisha Washington was last seen on Sept. 27 near E. 42nd Street and Sterling Avenue. She was reported missing on Sunday, according to police.

Washington's mother, LaVette Kelley, said her daughter has mental health problems. Kelly is worried that her daughter doesn’t know how to get home and may be hurt.

Washington is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has multiple tattoos, including one of Marilyn Monroe's face on her left arm and a bow-tie on her upper right chest, police said.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the KCPD Missing Persons Unit at 816-234-5136 or the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
