KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A motorcyclist who was injured June 10 in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 40 has died.
Kansas City, Missouri, police were called to the scene of a life-threatening crash just after 8:30 p.m. near East U.S. 40 and Booth Avenue.
According to crash investigators, a southbound Honda motorcycle collided with an eastbound Kia sedan.
The motorcycle driver was transported to an area hospital in critical condition, while the driver of the Kia was not injured.
Witnesses said the motorcycle driver disregarded a stop sign.
The Jackson County Medical Examiner informed KCPD that the motorcyclist died Friday afternoon from injuries sustained in the crash.
This is the 42nd vehicle fatality in KCMO in 2020 compared with 29 at this time last year.
