KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A motorcyclist was killed when they collided with an SUV in Independence Sunday afternoon.
According to police, the crash happened around 4 p.m. on Main Street near 23rd Street.
Investigators said the motorcycle was traveling south on Main Street and made a left turn into the path of a Chevrolet Tahoe.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital where he died of his injuries.
He was later identified as 71-year-old Gary W. Barr of Independence.
The crash is under investigation. The driver of the Tahoe was not hurt.
