KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Northland man shot one of two people he thought came to his house Thursday to rob him.
The incident happened about 4 p.m. outside a residence in the 11800 block of North Campbell Street in Kansas City, Missouri.
The man told police two men came to the house and he feared he was about to get robbed, according to a police news release.
He shot at the two men and struck one of them, police said.
The two men fled in a car, but stopped a few minutes later on the exit ramp from southbound U.S. 169 to Missouri 152.
Police found the wounded man in the car. He suffered life-threatening injuries.
There is no word yet on whether anyone involved in the incident will face charges.
