KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person was killed when a driver lost control of their vehicle on Interstate 435 in Kansas City, Missouri, late Sunday night.
According to police, the crash happened around 11:15 p.m. just north of Blue Parkway.
Investigators determined a Ford pickup was headed north when the driver lost control and crashed through a metal guardrail and overturned.
A 26-year-old Oklahoma woman who was a passenger in the truck was killed.
The driver of the pickup was not injured in the crash. Police have not said what may have caused them to lose control.
Northbound lanes of I-435 were closed for about an hour while the crash was cleared.
