OLATHE, Kan. -- Police are investigating after a young girl reported an attempted kidnapping Sunday morning.
According to the Olathe Police Department, officers were called to the 16400 block of S. Maraias Dr. to investigate a possible attempted kidnapping.
When they arrived, a juvenile girl told them an older white man with gray hair and scruffy facial hair attempted to grab her after getting out of a silver or gray SUV. The vehicle was described as smaller, with a red paw print sticker possibly on the passenger side.
The girl ran away to safety and police were contacted.
An investigation into the incident continues.
