An Olathe woman drowned in the Elk River Friday night.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says Candi M. Srivisay, 25, of Olathe, drowned on the west edge of the Noel, Missouri, Elk River Dam.
There is a hole at the base of the dam where Srivisay was swimming. She was pinned to the base of the dam and drowned.
Noel is in far southwest Missouri, just a couple miles from the Arkansas state line.
