One person has been arrested after a hit and run crash.
A vehicle with three UMKC students inside was traveling west on Volker when a Cadillac heading south ran a red light and struck them. The students’ vehicle flipped.
The Cadillac’s driver came over to see if the students were OK. The driver then fled on foot, and Kansas City police arrested them a short time later.
The three students said the seatbelt safety warning going off, prompting them to put on their seatbelts, saved their lives.
