KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person died after a car crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer Tuesday afternoon in Cass County, officials said.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was slowing to a stop on Interstate 49 southbound near J Highway because of another wreck nearby, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
The car hit the back of the truck, and the driver died.
Officials later identified her as 19-year-old Cora Graham.
No other injuries were reported, the Highway Patrol said.
I-49 southbound was closed at J Highway while crews worked to clear the crash.
