KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A pedestrian was killed in a crash on 152 Highway and N. Brighton Avenue early Saturday morning.
Officers were called to the scene shortly before 2:00 a.m. Police have identified the victim as 23-year-old Craig A. Helden from Kearney, Missouri.
Investigators said a Mitsubishi passenger car was eastbound when it struck a pedestrian who was either crossing or walking in the traffic lanes.
The driver, a 24 year-old man from Kansas City, stopped at the scene.
The driver was transported with minor injuries.
An investigation is underway.
The name of the victim has not yet been released.
