Woman's shooting death in KCK ruled accidental, police say

UPDATE, 12:45 p.m. Nov. 1 | Kansas City, Kansas, police said Monday that the woman's shooting death was found to be accidental.

Police identified the woman as Rajeeni Bennett, 39, of KCK.

ORIGINAL | One woman is dead following a shooting in Kansas City, Kansas, on Wednesday night, according to the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

Shortly after 8:30 p.m., officers were called to the area of Short Avenue and North 18th Street on a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found a female victim dead inside a residence.

There is no suspect information at this time.
