KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- One person is dead and another in critical condition after gunshots were fired into their vehicle on 63rd and Beacon Dr. Sunday afternoon.
Officers were called to Research Medical Center around 4 p.m. on a reported shooting. One victim died from his injuries and the second remains in serious but stable condition.
The victims are described as black males in their early 20's. They have not been identified at this time.
Police say they believe the victims were on 63rd and Beacon Dr. when a suspect or suspects open fired into their vehicle.
The area is blocked off as detectives continue their investigation.

This is the 130th homicide in Kansas City, Mo. this year, with five homicide investigations in the city since Friday.
