KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person died and four others, including two children, were hurt Thursday in a crash near Interstate 70 and Central Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas.

KCK police said a black car was exiting I-70 eastbound onto Central.

As it was in the intersection making a left to head west on Central, a white van that was eastbound on Central crashed into it.

The black vehicle spun and hit a red car stopped at the intersection. No one in the red car was injured.

The driver of the black vehicle, identified as 40-year-old Jessica Krulic, died from her injuries at a local hospital.

The two kids in the black vehicle were in stable condition after the crash.

Two people in the white van were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The exit ramp from I-70 to Central Avenue was closed as officers investigated what caused the wreck.

KCK police said the wreck remains under investigation.
