KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday in the Northland, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Aaron Lancaster, 31, of Platte City, died in the crash, which occurred at Route N and Naylor Road in Parkville, Missouri. A 2001 Ford driven by Matthew Tate was traveling westbound and failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle crossed the center line and struck a 2008 Pontiac driven by Lancaster, the Highway Patrol said.

Lancaster was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Tate, 19, had moderate injuries, the Highway Patrol said.
