KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 30-year-old man has died after a Tuesday evening crash near East 40th Street and Prospect Avenue, according to a press release by the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department.
Investigators say a Cadillac sedan was northbound when it collided with a Chevrolet sedan making a left turn.
The crash sent the Chevrolet into a wooden utility pole, which was broken in half.
The man in the Chevrolet was transported to an area hospital, where he later died in the hospital.
The other driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
This marks the 60th vehicular death in KCMO in 2020. There were only 78 total deaths on city streets in 2019, according to reports from KCPD.
