KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Kansas City, Missouri.
Police responded to the area of Interstate 435 and Bannister Road just after 11:30 a.m., at which time I-435 northbound past 71 Highway was shut down.
The driver of a Harley Davidson traveling west on I-470 to north I-435 lost control and crossed into the median, according to police.
When the Harley returned to the I-435 ramp, it was struck by a Toyota Highlander, hit a metal guardrail and concrete barrier and was thrown "back into the left side of the Toyota," police said.
The driver of the Harley was pronounced dead at the scene, while the Toyota's driver and passenger were uninjured.
