KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on Interstate 29 near Northwest 56th Street.
Police were called to the scene just after 4:15 a.m.
Two vehicles collided on I-29 northbound near the ramp to Interstate 635.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified Friday as Alejandro Chavez, 23, of Grandview.
A second person was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.
