KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person suffered life-threatening injuries in a three vehicle crash at Bannister Road and U.S. 71 Saturday night.
According to police, a blue Chevy Blazer was eastbound on Bannister Road at a high rate of speed when it crashed into the back end of a Chevy Malibu that was stopped at a red light, waiting to turn onto northbound U.S. 71.
The impact forced the Malibu into a stopped white Ford Escape.
The driver of the Malibu suffered life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Ford Escape was not injured, but three passengers suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital.
Police said the driver of the Chevy Trail Blazer was not injured, but is under investigation for impairment.
