KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man from Overland Park, Kansas, drowned at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri Monday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said 27-year-old William Gordon-Price went under while swimming and didn’t resurface.
The Mid-County Fire Protection District sent a dive team into the water, but found nothing.
MSHP also sent a dive team to the location, which entered the water after 10 p.m.
The team located Gordon-Price’s body around 1:30 a.m.
He was not wearing a safety device according to MSHP.
MSHP said this is the first boating death of 2019 for Troop F.
