KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After four decades on the Country Club Plaza, Panache will relocate to an expanded location in Leawood.

The international award-winning chocolatier announced the move Thursday morning.

Panache will move next month to 11555 Ash Street in the Park Place development and plans to open in late September. The Plaza location will close Aug. 29.

“This is an exciting new chapter in Panache’s story as we continue to focus on creating quality, elevated chocolates inspired by unexpected flavors and enhanced by local collaborations,” co-owner Julie House said in a release.

Julie and Derrick House bought Panache in 2013.

The new 1,512-square-foot store will continue to feature Panache’s handcrafted chocolates, wine and cocktails. The new space will include a tasting bar and event space.

Master chocolatier Mallory Baxter will remain with Panache.

The new Leawood location will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
