KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Missouri State Highway patrol said Friday a woman died after a crash on Interstate 29 at Interstate 635.
Kara Tatum, 33, of Kansas City, Missouri, died as a result of the crash Thursday night.
Troopers said the crash happened at 6:20 p.m. as the Jeep she and two other people were riding in tried to change lanes but over-corrected.
The Jeep went off the road and hit a guardrail. It then rolled several times, ejecting Tatum and another passenger.
She was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The MSHP crash report indicates none of the three people in the car were wearing a seatbelt.
