UPDATE: October 21, 9:00a.m.: Police say upon arrival they located a white male in his late thirties, hit by a vehicle in the roadway.
The initial investigation revealed that a vehicle traveling southbound on 7th Street, hit the man in the road. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene, and has been cooperating with the investigation.
The id of the victim has not yet been released.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A pedestrian was found dead in the street near 7th and Metropolitan Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas Friday night.
KCK police say a passerby discovered the victim and took him or her to a nearby hospital. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the hospital.
