UPDATE: January 28, 2018 11:30 a.m. - Police say the male driver of a silver Kia says some person ran into the right front side of his vehicle. He did not see that person before he hit that person, so he did not know where the person came from. He then slowed and pulled to the right shoulder.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A person was hit and killed by a vehicle on I-435 near Grandview Rd. Saturday night.
Officers were called to the area just after 8 p.m. on the report of a person hit in the eastbound lane of traffic.
Police say a vehicle involved in the accident did stop and is cooperating with officers.
Only one lane remained open as officers investigated the accident.
