KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A pedestrian was struck and killed in a crash in rural Cass County, Missouri, late Sunday night.
The collision happened around 11:30 p.m. on East 299th Street at Southwest Outer Road, which is located near Harrisonville.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was hit by a 1989 Chevrolet Truck headed north on East 299th Street.
Troopers did not expand on whether the pedestrian was in the roadway or how the crash occurred.
The man killed was identified as 30-year-old Joseph Monteil of Cleveland, Missouri.
