KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run accident shortly after midnight Friday near East 75th Street and Oldham Road in Kansas City, Missouri.

KCPD officers were called to the scene about 12:30 a.m. to investigate a one-vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.

The pedestrian — identified Monday morning as 26-year-old Quentrel E. Griffin — had just left Percy's Bar and Grill and was crossing Oldham Road to where his vehicle was parked.

An unknown southbound vehicle struck the pedestrian and left the scene, continuing south on Oldham Road.

The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
