UPDATE - The victim killed after being hit by an SUV near Spring Hill early Saturday morning has been identified.
According to the Miami County Sheriff's Office, Brian Phillips, 45, was walking down Moonlight Road near 223rd St. in dark clothing when he was struck by an SUV.
Phillips died at the scene. The driver of the SUV remained on scene and cooperated with police.

Deputies are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed on a metro roadway Saturday.
First responders were dispatched out just before 7 a.m. to near the intersection of 223rd Street and Moonlight Road in northern Miami County on reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a car.
The pedestrian died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Deputies were working late Saturday morning to notify the victim’s family.
Information about the driver of the car wasn’t immediately available.
