KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police are investigating a fatal crash near East 97th Street and Hillcrest Road.
Police say around 1:45 a.m. Monday a man was traveling north on Hillcrest at a high rate and speed and lost control of his vehicle.
His car crashed into trees before landing in a ravine and bursting into flames, police said.
The man, who was ejected from the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
