KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Piper School District announced this week that Dr. Jessica Dain will serve as the district's next superintendent.
Dain currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Support Services in the Olahte School District.
In her 25-year career, Dain has also worked in the De Soto, Shawnee Mission and Blue Valley school districts.
“Piper USD 203 has an exemplary reputation in meeting the needs of every child, and I am beyond thrilled to be joining the family of this prestigious and successful district. I look forward to building strong and meaningful relationships with all members of the community as we begin the next chapter of building the future one child at a time," Dain said in the district's announcement.
Her new role will begin in July of 2020.
