KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Platte County Health Department adopted a new public health order Friday, lightening restrictions on bars, restaurants and taverns.

The order, which is similar to orders in Kansas City, Missouri and Wyandotte County, now allows venues to remain open until 12 a.m. Everyone inside the venue must leave by 12:30 a.m.

It also allows drive-thru service, curbside pickup, and delivery of food to continue after 12:00 a.m

Capacity is still limited to 50% and masks are still required at all times expect when drinking or eating.

A previous order issued in November required venues to close by 10 p.m.

The new order goes into effect Jan. `16 at 12 a.m.
