KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 28-year-old Plattsburg, Missouri, man died from injuries sustained in a June 6 crash involving a motorcycle and passenger vehicle.
Kansas City, Missouri, police said Tyler Sears was driving east on West 39th Street at a high rate of speed shortly before 3:30 p.m. on June 6 when a black Nissan pulled out in front of him.
A woman driving the Nissan had stopped at a stop sign on northbound Terrace Street at West 39th Street.
She did not see the motorcycle and pulled out in front of it, causing it to crash into the driver’s side of the Nissan and ejecting Sears over the top of the vehicle.
Sears struck the curb on the northeast corner of the intersection and was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. He died a little more than nine hours later.
The driver of the Nissan suffered minor injuries, but she refused medical treatment at the scene.
