KANSAS CITY, Mo. – When news of last week’s duck boat tragedy reached the 41 Action News Newsroom, our crews hit the road for the 200-mile drive to Branson.
41 Action News Reporter Tom Dempsey and his photographer Al Miller were the first of our crews to arrive, and even though it was late in the night, Tom described the scene in this week’s 41 Files Podcast as “heartbreaking.”
Later on Friday, Tom was joined by reporters Charlie Keegan and Sarah Plake. Both Charlie and Sarah joined 41 Action News Anchor Taylor Hemness to talk about the challenges of covering the story.
Later in the podcast, Taylor and Tom switched gears to talk about President Donald Trump’s visit to Municipal Auditorium Tuesday to speak to attendees of the VFW Convention.
